A minimally invasive injection that collapses and seals diseased veins — no surgery, no general anesthesia.

Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure where a specialist injects a chemical solution into varicose or spider veins. The solution irritates the vein walls, causing them to collapse and seal shut. Blood reroutes to healthier veins, and the treated vein eventually fades and is absorbed by the body.
Sclerotherapy is typically performed in our office and takes between 15 and 45 minutes depending on the number of veins being treated. A very fine needle is used to inject the sclerosing solution directly into the affected vein. Most patients feel only mild discomfort — a slight stinging or cramping sensation — during the injection. No anesthesia is required, and you can walk out of the office when the session is complete.
After treatment, you'll wear compression stockings for a short period to support healing. Most patients return to normal daily activities immediately. Mild bruising, redness or itching at the injection site is normal and clears up within a few days. Treated veins typically begin to fade within three to six weeks, with full results visible after several months. Multiple sessions may be needed for larger areas.
